OOTD #3

I just bought another new outfit for work. I am super in love with it, its got a long peplum and best floral print and its not too tight. 

Super cute. 

Kale Chips

Kale is boss, it is good for you in almost every way. This is my favourite way to eat them, chips. 

All you need is kale, salt, oil (I used rice bran). 

• I usually preheat my oven to 200C
• Wash the kale then rip them off the stem that is down the middle into smaller pieces then put them in a salad spinner, you want them to be relatively dry. 
• After, you just place them in a baking tray with a little bit of oil to coat them (its usually less than you think) and sprinkle with a little salt. 
• Pop them in the oven then turn the heat down to about 160C for about 20-30 mins or until they go all crispy. 

They are a great low calorie snack for when you crave something salty and crunchy.

All by myself

I have never had lunch out by myself ever. I thought I would give it a go yesterday, I went to the local asian bbq restaurant and ordered a roast pork noodles soup. It was not as daunting as I thought it would be. I brought my homework with me because I didn't want to feel like a total loser, I felt like some typical super asian nerd. All in all, it was a good experience I might go to a cafe by myself next!

Best BF ever.

Last night was the 2nd night since the boyfriend flew off for fifo. Just before I finished work I got a message from him saying, "Will you be home tonight after 6.30pm?"," I will have a surprise delivery for you". Obviously I was pretty excited.

I hurried home and before long my doorbell rang. It was a PIZZA! Not just any pizza, it was a pizza with the most extra toppings ever. I ate most of it leaving 2 slices for brekkie, best surprise ever. (Who can ever reject food?)

He is a keeper.

Velvetines review

I heard raves about these online and was abit skeptical at first. Turns out they are the best things ever! From lime crime Velvetines seriously hold up to their claims. For just $16.99 each and $8.50 flat rate international shipping, Why not?

The first picture to the left is when I had just put it on, the second one is after i had buffet bbq dinner and the last pic is from a different day but after 12 hours of wear with out any touch up. 

I would have to say the proof is in the pudding. I am in love and I am obsessed. 

I wish they would release more colours, so far they have Red Velvet (red rose colour) and Suedeberry (strawberry red), all very flattering but to have a pink, a nude and a plum colour too would be a dream. 

Best scrambled eggs

I am an avid fan of scrambled eggs. I have tried to cook them in a pan on low heat, high heat, using cream, milk, water and any other combination. I have found the perfect method to make scrambled eggs, it is the simplified version of Heston Blumenthal's method. 

I mixed 3 eggs with a splash of milk in a heat safe bowl that is bigger than the opening of your small pot. Simmer water in a small pot and put the bowl over it, bain marie style, make sure the water des not directly touch the bowl. Keep the heat low and keep stirring, eventually you will have the creamiest yummiest scrambled eggs. Season as desired.

Tamagotchi

My boyfriend got me a new Tamagotchi (what a darl), it is a version 4.5 (Star antenna!). My whole reemergence of of my tamagotchi obsession when I wanted a puppy/kitten, obviously not a good time for one at all for me. so to curb my loneliness my boyfriend suggested that I played with my tamagotchi.

I dug out my old tamagotchi from high school days (it must be at least 8 years old.) and found batteries from my weighing scale and started to play with it. Best idea ever! So now my old tamagotchi has a buddy. :D

Quick Tip #1 - Pillow hygiene

Do you go to bed with your makeup on after a night out and in the morning you have rubbed your mask on your pillow case and thus have to wash your sheets (because you don't have an infinite supply of pillow cases)?

Do you know how gross it is when  you do not wash  your pillow case often? Think about all the stuff that is rubbing on your face!!! Might even be why you are getting your zits.

My quick and easy solution is to put a t-shirt/ tank top on it. you can use one side one night then the other side the next then trow it in the laundry and change the case.

Fair Swag

Just the swag I got at the polka dot vintage market in Claremont. its basically a fun weekend 3 times a year. I finally got my ass to one last sunday as it was the first weekend I have had off in ages.

I got some crafty stickers, leather clutch, Crochet octopus and 2 Glomesh bags.
the white one is a sling bag for me and the black one is for my bestie ry!

Magic stain remover

I didn't think this was possible either, but you can get ballpoint pen out of your clothes. Even the most stubborn red lipstick stain. My secret is Exit Soap.

I forgot to take a photo of the before pic because I was freaking out about the stain when I got home. 
it was basically a blob. All you need to do is wet the article of clothing then rub the bar into the fabric and what I do to really get the stuff in there is scrub it with an old toothbrush for this sorta thing, then rinse it out. 

If you look really close at my neon pink playsuit, there is the faintest blob of pen left. I would say its a job well done Exit!

Piercing

I got my ear pierced today. I got it done at Glamour in freo, the prices there are great! I got my industrial done for 60 including jewellery and my thirds done for 25. I gotta say its not as bad as I thought it would be. 

The thirds were done with a gun so it was quick and easy. However, the industrial was done with a needle. It was not actually painful but more of the pressure of the bar pushing through. My ear kept bleeding, so i used a cool compress and it really helped. :)

Rilakkuma package!

I bought a couple of things from Japan and it finally came! Strapya is the best site for cute little figurines and charms, reasonable shipping. I got a cute widdle kitty cat who is trying to catch my ball of yarn that is hanging off my phone and being the best sister every I bought a whole set of dessert Rilakkuma charms. I kept the cream puff dude. hee hee too cute! 

Nails in a quickie

My nails were rather chipped last night but it was really late and I was tired. So I decided to use my sally hansen nail strips. They are by far my favourite way to get cool nails in a pinch. My nails are quite short so i can use one of those strips for 2 nails. I just place it on one nails then cut it near where it ends then use the left over bit for another nail of a similar size. Voila! can have 2 manis with one pack. Money savvy. 

OOTD #2

Outfit of the Day: Red. I recently bought this short sleeve swing dress off ASOS. All I have gotta say is I don't care if I look preggers, this is the most comfortable dress EVER. 

My cat shoes are the ones that I got on sale at the Bugis Street Markets in singapore for $15, bargain. 

To finish the whole look off I don't have any makeup on, for my busy day at uni, besides my Lime Crime Velvetines in Suedeberry. I shall review these at a later date as I have Red velvet too. 

Labler

I kinda went crazy with organising my kitchen area. I went to office works and bought a labeller. I LOVE IT! I got a DYMO organiser Xpress embosser.

I really like the retro look it gives my kitchen.

OOTD #1

Outfit of the day: I wore this to work the other day, neon pinkness. I work in retail I wear what we sell at work, so you will see a lot of Ally Fashion outfits.

Finally got to wear my BJD Stockings, but I accidentally ripped a hole in them pulling them up! Extremely cut about it. Oh well. I'll just have room for more stockings in my collection. 

For some reason I never wear these shoes no matter how cool they are. They are Jeffrey Campbell - Sk8r. Black leather boots with black skulls all over them.

Loewe Panda Pouch.

Finally my collection is complete, for now. So I have been crazy about Loewe's Animales collection. So far my dad bought me my first 3, oso, elefante and toro. (Thank you daddy!) I bought Mr Pandy all on my own! 

Just look at his face,so fat and chubby. Isnt he cute. :3

Another thing I have to say is that Bagaholicboy tagged me in a facebook post, her totally made my day!!! *swoon*

Removing Sticker Residue

I had always had a problem getting that annoying sticky stuff left over when you are trying to remove stickers from jars or any surface really.

I went to Ikea and got a whole bunch if these jars, the only problem they had were these annoying stickers on them! To get them off all you have to do is peel off as much as you can especially the plasticy top layer. Then you need to soak a paper towel with Eucalyptus oil and hold the paper towel against the sticky area to break it down. You may need to repeat until it all comes off. Voila! Clean jars.

I have heard you can use WD40 to get it off but I would much rather use eucalyptus oil to get sticky stuff off my food containers. 

Hello World!

Hello World, 

I have decided to start writing a blog as I have not known what to do with myself as my boyfriend has started doing FIFO (fly in fly out) work. Boredom does great things! 

I am into fashion, beauty, baking, cooking and just general homey things. 

I hope that especially when the BF is away I can try and do a post a day (or every other day), depending on how interesting my days end up being.
