Cool Cake Day

So like a while ago now, I went to friend's house to bake a cake with her mum. Her mum is an amazing baker and we did some cool icing things. I learnt a lot like how easy it is to actually bake a cake.

1Kg Butter Cake is basically :

  • 250g butter
  • 250g sugar
  • 250g flour
  • 1tsp baking powder per 125 gram of flour
  • 5 eggs
Its just cream the butter and sugar add eggs one at a time till smooth then add the flour and baking powder a little at a time.

The making of the butter cream frosting was a super guess and check thing. We just chucked in butter and mixed it and kept adding icing sugar till the right consistency was met. runnier for the crumb coat and a bit stiffer for the pretty decorations, more icing sugar. 

Its was quite fun so I might start getting even fancier with my icing job.
